We are conducting a search for a passionate and high impact Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for a growing consumer website. Our client has achieved revenue in the 20M range and is looking for an experienced Marketing executive to help propel them to new levels of revenue and profitability.
The CMO will be responsible for all design and implementation of all marketing strategy, branding, and cross marketing initiatives related to both product and platform and will serve as a senior member of the executive team.
The CMO will be given much latitude in instituting new initiatives and spearheading new approaches within the business.
This position requires a tremendous amount of creativity, market knowledge and business sense.
Qualified candidates will have demonstrable success driving an internet brand (Gift, leisure or childrens markets preferred) and business to new levels of profitability.
Develop and execute a clearly defined marketing and communications strategy in a manner that supports business growth and enhances brand equity.
Ensure content accurately represents the brand and engages the vision of the global marketing strategy.
Work with the executive team to develop marketing partnerships with cross branding partners.
Manage website content and functionality and oversee the design and development team.
Ensure website designers and developers adhere to marketing message and strategy.
Manage implementation of marketing tactics and support systems, including the direct marketing campaigns, SEO, online advertising, CRM, and marketing results reporting
Lead marketing and communications functions.
Create the organizations marketing and communications strategy and marketing calendar
Amplify our clients brand through online partnerships and campaigns as well as offline initiatives
Lead the development of online and offline marketing materials.
Evaluate, select and supervise vendors including freelance designers, videographers and production vendors
Create marketing KPIs to track and report on the effectiveness of all marketing and communications tactics
Work to maximize the use of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter,Youtube and other platforms
A passion for bold, disruptive initiatives and an ability to work outside of the limits of brand conformity
Bring a demonstrable and proven track record of marketing, branding, and growing of an online provider of consumer goods or services (gift, leisure or childrens markets preferred).
Excellent analytical skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and outstanding attention to detail
Experience hiring and developing high-performance teams
