This position is responsible for the administration of Stratton's payroll processes.

Review and monitor payroll timesheets regularly for missing hours, errors and discrepancies

Work with Managers and Supervisors to ensure their team's timesheets are accurate and complete

Review for accuracy and sign off on Alterra payroll reports

Coordinate payroll changes with HR

Provide payroll reports to HR Director including but not limited to overtime, employee deductions, wage garnishments, benefit eligibility and classification/data changes

Facilitate check distribution and off-cycle check requests

Provide payroll training in HRIS to designated timekeepers

Respond to payroll and workers' comp related inquiries

Respond to Department of Labor inquiries regarding unemployment, pay data and employment verification

Respond to all employment verification inquires

Complete H2B visa audits required by Department of Labor

Coordinate and maintain eligible employee PTO plans

Coordinate benefit arrears with HR

Coordinate FMLA, VT Parental Leave, Alterra Paid leave with employees and HR

  • Respond to employee and manager payroll inquiries and oversee off cycle check requests
  • Other duties as assigned by HR Director

    Education: Degree from an accredited university or college in accounting, business, or Human Resources preferred.

    Experience: 2+ years office administrative experience required.

    Proficient in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Outlook

    Strong problem-solving skills

    High level of personal and professional integrity
