Job Description
The Access & Health Care lead role within GSM (Global Supply Management) is focused on effective and efficient buying to support Stanley Access Technologies and Stanley Healthcare SBUs to deliver the 22/22 vision for SBD. This leadership role will be responsible for TCO value creation for categories critical for Stanley Access Technologies and Stanley Healthcare SBUs through a combination of productivity, working capital, synergies, reduced risk, improved supplier lead times, etc.
Reporting to the VP, GSM Security, Access & Health Care Lead is responsible for leading and implementing of holistic category strategies to support Stanley Access Technologies and Stanley Healthcare. The individual is tasked with building a customer-focused, service-oriented team, and fostering a motivating environment through his/her leadership skills. This position will involve leading efforts on a global basis interacting with suppliers and colleagues across geographies and work cultures.
This position is based in Farmington, CT.
Specific Responsibilities:
* Ensure high degree of service delivery and SBU satisfaction
* Consider unique/specific regional and SBU needs during category strategy development.
* Understand and link category strategy with GSM priorities and SBU goals
* Lead the supplier selection process through management of formal RFP, RFQ and RFI processes
* Determine, oversee and perform the negotiation and contract management of large-scale, enterprise-wide volume purchase agreements
* Partner with the Stanley Access Technologies and Stanley Healthcare SBU to ensure they recognize the business value from the GSM team
* Oversees the implementation of category strategies in support of the 22/22 vision and margin resiliency initiatives
* Responsible for creation of TCO value to the organization through a combination of productivity, working capital, synergies, reduced risk, improved supplier lead times, etc.
* Maintains business relationships with strategic suppliers for Stanley Access Technologies and Stanley Healthcare SBUs and serves as an escalation point to resolve supplier performance issues
* Develop and foster strategic supplier relationships that deliver cost reduction, supply assurance, quality improvement and innovation
* Implement strategic supplier management, supplier risk management, supplier diversity, and CSR programs within Stanley Access Technologies and Stanley Healthcare SBUs (leveraging the CoE)
* Institutionalize best-practice processes and policies and knowledge sharing within the Corporate Directs team and ensure continuous improvement within the category.
* Guarantee compliance with GSM policies and procedures and DoA requirements
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* 8-10 years of experience sourcing categories for Contract manufacturing, fasteners, electronics, electrical and other similar categories with a deep understanding of the supply markets
* Must have a balance of both strategic and operational capacities; including global sourcing, supplier management, commodity risk management, etc.
* Successful track record of designing and implementing complex sourcing and procurement strategies that achieved desired results within the category.
* Experience in strategic planning, budgeting and financial reporting
* Global mindset with experience working in an international/multi-cultural matrix environment
* Experience leading diverse and remote teams
SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS
* Strong listening, coaching and influencing skills
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels; particularly at the management level
* Influencing without direct authority
* Ability to listen, engage and influence internal and external stakeholders.

* Multi-lingual
* CPIM or CSCMP certification
* PMP certifications
* Six Sigma or Lean/Kaizen certification

EDUCATION:
A Bachelor?s degree is required. A MBA or Masters in Supply Chain is preferred.
