This is a dynamic IT Audit and risk position in a very progressive organization, with a commitment to staying ahead of the curve, and utilizing the latest risk management methods to protect their systems and databases. Data analysis skills are highly valued in this Senior level IT Audit and risk position. Note that our client has the flexibility of hiring at the Staff or Senior level. Title: Senior IT Auditor Salary: 80K to 110K Location: Hartford, CT Responsibilities: Think strategically and maintain a big-picture perspective in building relationships and leading critical technology audits for this dynamic organization. Participates and leads technology audits and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance reviews of various company technology functions, incorporating an understanding of technology processes, risk assessment techniques. Build relationships with business unit peers and management, external auditors, peers in other departments and professional groups; develop a sensitivity to organizational change Identifies risks and tests controls associated with financial integrity, operational effectiveness, compliance with rules and regulations, and system and data integrity. Develop audit plans, programs and specific tests to evaluate control areas. Analyzes findings and test results and arrives at sound fact-based conclusions and appropriate recommendations for problem areas noted. Prepares documentation in adherence to internal audit professional standards, best practices and Corporate Audit's methodology. Assists in the preparation of quarterly monitoring reports that highlight any key developments. Assists in training and developing others in audit, risk assessment techniques, and accounting principles. Use diplomacy in all interactions with customers Take ownership of work, doing what is needed without being asked, following through Produce high quality work using standard electronic tools (TeamMate and SOA Director) Requirements: BA/BS in Computer Science/MIS, Accounting, or Finance Strong IT background with experience in one or more technology disciplines (network, database, business applications, programming, etc.). Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time. Portuguese language is a big plus CISA, CISSP, or other related certifications preferred 4 years experience in IT Audit or a combination of IT, security, and IT Audit Knowledge of risk assessment, technology, and auditing principles preferred. * The salary listed in the header is an estimate based on salary data for similar jobs in the same area.
