--Position:-------------------------------------------------------------- Guest Relation Manager Department:-------------------------------------------------- Front Office Responsible to :---------------------------------------- Director of Front Office Effective Date:-------------------------------------------- October 2019 SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the daily operation of the front desk and liaising with balance of hotel management team. Directly supervises all front office personnel and ensure proper completion of all front office duties. Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating front office activities to ensure exceptional guest service is achieved. This position prepares monthly reports and budget for front office department. Exercises independent judgment and initiative in the course of carrying out overall responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Supervises the preparation of scheduling for Front Office Department. Approves payroll for Front Office Department. Evaluates the job performance of each front office employee. Maintains working relationships and communicates with all departments. Maintains master key control Verifies that accurate room status information is maintained and communicated. Immediately resolves guest problems quickly, efficiently and courteously. Checks cashiers in and out and verified banks and deposits at the end of each shift. Enforces all cash-handling, check-cashing, and credit policies. RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES: Conducts regularly scheduled meetings of front office personnel. Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily. Monitor selling status of house daily. Communicating effectively to staff ensure--that all company policies and procedures are followed. Ensure that employees are, at all times, attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and other employees. Monitor all VIP---s special guests and requests. Oversee the implementation of procedures, policies, systems, and payroll and inventory management. Responsible for the recruitment and selection of personnel.
