In early January 2020, Select Medical is looking to add a proactive, results-oriented Manager, Systems Support to manage IS personnel based in regional office facilities across the country. Our regional support personnel have areas of responsibility including hardware/software support, end user device support, mobile device support and network support. The Manager, Systems Support is also responsible for overseeing the deployment of corporate initiatives at regional facilities and adherence to corporate IS policies and procedures. This position must maintain coordination and communication with other IS teams in support of the regional facilities and their associated projects. The Manager, Systems Support reports to the Director, Systems Support.
The Manager, Systems Support is challenged with meeting regularly with their direct reports and facility management. Through these meetings the manager ensures their staff is adequately supporting the business needs of the regional facilities. Additionally, the manager serves as a corporate office liaison and reports concerns and issues to the appropriate corporate office department so those issues can be addressed. Directs and supervises the work of their staff.
Plans, schedules, and allocates work ensuring the timely completion of assigned projects.
Ensure regional staff coordinates the installation and support of all communications and end-user computing equipment.
Ensure regional staff resolves all network and system related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Utilize strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills to help regional staff drive projects and complete objectives.
Setting priorities along with coordinating and reporting the team's activities and performance.
Meet regularly with regional staff and regional facility management in person.
Conduct annual performance evaluations for staff and make recommendations for professional growth.
Screen candidates for open staff positions and conduct interviews.
Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change or where new ones need to be developed.
Monitor and report on any security violations related to the unwarranted access to corporate data.
Build team spirit with staff members.
Adheres to corporate Change Control procedures.
Supports the mission and direction of Select Medical Information Services.
BS or BA degree in Business Systems, Computer Science or Information Systems or other equivalent education or experience. Healthcare related degree a plus.
5 years of experience managing and implementing IT projects, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
Broad knowledge of IT concepts, disciplines, best practices and methodologies will be expected.
Strong dedication to quality customer service.
Requires superior leadership, teamwork and project management skills.
Strong interpersonal, communication and motivational skills a must.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential.
Must possess a personal sense of urgency management style.
Domestic travel to supported facilities on a regular basis is required.
Prior healthcare environment experience is preferred.
Prior experience in a field support role is preferred.
