This vacancy provides a great opportunity to work with PPG's formulation and applicationprofessionals in the field of Protection & Marine Coatings (PMC) to developnew product solutions to our customers. The candidate will be responsible for leadinga number of technical tasks, including effective experiment planning, coatingformulation, coating application optimization, detailed product performanceanalysis, and result presentation to internal and external business partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Participate in weeklyproject meetings and plan for effective project execution, including but notlimited to developing and evaluating innovative ideas to improve coatingperformance. Up to 20%
  • Participate informulation, substrate preparations, coating application, and coatingevaluation. Up to 35%
  • Report results (incharts, charts, tables and reports) in a timely manner to meet projectrequirements. Up to 20%
  • Present the resultsin a formal and informal atmosphere. Up to 15%
  • Ensure thatappropriate safety attitudes, procedures, and housekeeping are maintainedthroughout all work plans, and that work is done in a way that protectsyourself, colleagues, the environment, and the community. Up to 10%
  • Requirements:
  • B.S. or M.S. inchemistry /physics / polymer science / material science / engineering orequivalent coating industry experience
  • Extroverted andhighly engaged personality
  • Excellent reading,multitasking, and organizational skills
  • Like summarizingresult in writing and presentation
  • Quick learner
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • High level ofexpertise/experience in coating application, coating formulation, and/orcustomer problem solving
  • Past experience ofinteractions with internal and external customers
  • Good at computer and/orMathematics
