Services thatDITprovides reach a client base of state and local government agencies, as well as schools, colleges and universities.
This position is a member of the technology team that supports the NC Department of Public Safety (DPS) correctional data center environment. This position will provide technical support, system administration, consultation, and end user consultation and guidance for NC DPS facilities DPS statewide.
Managing manual and automated Microsoft Windows, SQL Server, Exchanges server and other Microsoft products.
Managing manual and automated ESX, Hyper-V, Vcenter, Linux and related application patching
Patch removal processes
Powershell scripting, SQL and SCCM
Documenting patch process and sending reports on regular basi
Recovering VMs from backup in case of a corruption during patching
Special Note: This position work an off-set 8 hour day: Monday through Friday 1:00pm- 10:00pm. Some holiday or weekend work may be required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies To receive credit for your work experience and credentials, you must document on your application that you possess all of the following:
Demonstrated experience in: Microsoft product patch management ESX, Vcenter and Linux patch management server recovery using powershell automation directory services management
The following Management Preferences are not required, but applicants that possess these skills are preferred:
MCSA - Win Server 2012 or newer
VMWare - VCA
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of progressive experience in telecommunications network management, analysis, or design, or traffic engineering;
or Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of networking related experience such as network design, analysis or network management;
or Associate's degree in Electronics or Networking Technology from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of networking related experience;
