The Team:

Chase Data & Analytics Team unifies data andanalytics talent across Chase to responsibly leverage data to build competitiveadvantages for our businesses with value and protection for customers. The AutoData & Analytics organization utilizes data, analytics, visualization andadvanced analytics to drive meaningful impacts for our customers, dealers andpartners. The team provides expertise in big data, machine learning, businessintelligence, visualization, web analytics, campaign/program analysis,experimental design, A|B testing, process automation, and optimization.

The Position:

We are seeking an Executive Director to head up theAuto Data Science and Robotics Automation Center of Excellence dedicated to MachineLearning, Automation for all auto businesses. This role will report directly tothe Managing Director of Auto Data & Analytics and will be central to partnering with teams andbusiness partners to quantify impacts, resolve issues and ensure we meet ourbusiness commitments and enabling our advanced analytics strategy .

This person should have a passion for data andanalytics, and how to derive insights that can be used for better planning anddecision making. Will be responsible for building a high performing teamfocused on customer analytics, segmentation, profitability and customerexperience across our products and channels, utilizing Machine Learning,Artificial Intelligence and Robotic Process Automation.

This individual will leadthe development of our analytic platforms, in partnership with our technologyand data partners. This will require knowledge of our current and futureanalytic needs, team capabilities and skills, and a deeper understanding ofindustry-leading tools, trends and capabilities.

This individualwill translate business questions, which will often be complex and typically donthave a defined solution, into tasks, solve the problems and articulates toexecutives business plans and results of initiatives. This individual will be expectedto assess and comprehend the situation, then develop an analytical planencompassing data ETL, analytics, machine learning and story-telling andvisualization solutions to proactively address it.

The individualwill Interface directly with auto executives and establishes productivepartnerships across the company in order to execute analytical projects whichdeliver insights that directly impact business outcomes i.e. financial,customer experience, etc. Typically leads other senior managers and/or largeanalytical teams.


Master's, or PhD in a quantitative field preferred: Statistics, AppliedMathematics, Computing and Information Theory, Econometrics, Biostatistics,Operations Research, or Industrial / Electrical Engineering

10+ years of producing and overseeing advanced analytics work. 8+ yearspeople management experience, particularly in the advanced analytics space

Experienced in supporting organizations with the data and analytics withexpertise in Prospecting and Base management, Pricing Optimization, ChannelAdoption, Client Segmentation, and Operations support to drive market sharegrowth, customer experience and profitability improvements

Proficient in identifying, buying, testing and deploying new datasources/types, analytical tools and capabilities that can drive insights fromother Auto and other LOBs

Consulting orientation with ability to influence both internal &external business partners. Comfortable creating and presenting recommendationsto senior management and capable of influencing/motivating multiplestakeholders

Demonstrated history of leading large strategic initiatives andidentifying new opportunities to grow the business or improve the experiencefor our customers.

Process-and-controls-oriented leader, maintains a strongsystem of internal governance and controls with track record of soundjudgment; acting with integrity; protecting our company, clients and customers

Demonstrated ability to build and mentor great teams that are diverseand cohesive. Ability to build trust-basedrelationships

Analytical Requirements

Demonstrated expertise inmachine learning, a subject matter expert in statisticaltechniques, such as data mining, predictive modeling, time series forecasting,text mining , dimensionality reduction,experimental design, A/B and multivariate testing, and matched pairs analytic andETL techniques

Proficiency in dataanalysis and machine learning languages such as Python, Spark, Scala, SAS,Java, R, Julia.

Experience working withprivate and public Big Data platforms such as Hadoop, AWS, Azure.

Experience working withvarious databases (Teradeta, Oracle, Snoflake, S3, DataBricks), data lakequerying engines (Dremio, Presto, AtScale) and database querying languages(SQL, HQL, SparkSQL)

Experience with datastory-telling through dynamic and interactive reporting/visualizationapplications such as Tableau, Looker, Qlik
