    A global financial institution is seeking a Data Optimization Analyst to join their growing team to support the data analysis needs for the Network Operations team. The Data Optimization Analyst is responsible for analyzing, reporting, and auditing the network infrastructure and related components to improve network service quality. You will be part of a concentrated team that helps build or configure tooling to collect metrics, define key performance indicators (KPIs), produce reports, analyze results, and propose solutions. Previous experience working with data and analyzing that data is ideal. Scripting experience is needed, preferably Python or R. Excellent communications skills are required as you will eventually be tasked with presenting your findings to the management teams that operate the networks.


    Collects network performance data for detailed analysis utilizing performance toolsets.

    Interprets network performance data metrics to identify trends and anomalies.

    Audits and identifies areas of performance tool requirements and improvements.

    Investigates network specific anomalies using TCP/IP traces and packet captures.

    Creates reports and visual representation of performance data across Network Engineering and Network Operations.


    Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field

    1+ years of professional experience as a Data Analyst or Automation Analyst working with data

    Scripting experience Python or R is desired

    Good data analysis and reporting skills (Excel, Tableau, etc.)

    Experience working with Grafana or Splunk is ideal but not required

    Able to work on a team or in an individual setting

    Aptitude and skill for training other team members

    Self-starter type of individual, willing to take on tasks and asks for help when needed

    Knowledge of TCP/IP networking or packet capture analysis desired but not required

    Experience with Linux and Windows

    Financial industry experience is preferred but not required

    Knowledge network monitoring toolsets (Arista, Netscout, Corvil, cPacket, Tradeview)

    Excellent customer service attitude

    Basic hardware troubleshooting skills

    Ability to operate effectively and professionally under pressure

    Ability to collaborate with a variety of personalities and skillsets, and improve the quality of IT processes

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
