**Your Role and Responsibilities**
The Finance and Energy Business Development Executive is responsible for growing IBM Global Business Services (GBS) sales across a subset of the F&E account portfolio through client subject matter expertise and trusted client relationships. The F&E BDE will be responsible for the entire sales cycle, from identification and development of opportunities through the IBM proposal to contract signing. This will include building a pipeline of opportunities in the F&E account, leading (guiding) proposal teams, managing the selling process and successfully closing the deal for profitable IBM business. The individual will be expected to work closely with various competencies within IBM, including the Public Sector Service Lines, to develop & drive service offerings to build F&E account pipeline. The BDE will require a deep understanding of the clients, market needs, and IBM GBS service offering strengths to build proactive solutions. The individual will be expected to own the overall process from conceptualization to execution, including leading key client meetings to validate opportunities. The expectation is that within two years, he/she will drive more than $50M in signings and $25M in Revenue.

Deep understanding of the following client organizations (Dept of Energy is primary requirement):?

+ or the Department of Housing and Urban Development
+ or the Securities & Exchange Commission
+ or the International banks (World Bank, International Development Bank, International Monetary Fund)
Successful track record of professional services business development and sales into the client organizations
Ability to translate IBM offerings into solutions to solve the clients pain points
Ability to collaborate across multiple client stakeholders, as well as internally within IBM to design, present, propose, and close engagements
Excellent communicator - both written and oral
