CONT-TEMP - Administrative Assistant

We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant for a temporary assignment with a background in medical insurance. This position will assist clients with insurance needs at Chittenden Clinic during the States open enrollment period. The successful candidate has exceptional customer service skills, administrative and problem solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Utilizing Electronic Health Record System
  • Data Management
  • Able to work with a diverse population
  • Follow up on applications, schedule second meetings with clients
  • Discuss outcome and assist with choosing a healthcare plan
  • Review sliding fee scale and filling out financial registration forms
  • Work with clients HR department at their place of employment to complete documentation for insurance qualification


  • Insurance background is a requirement and previous A ssister experience with the State of VT is preferred.
  • High School Diploma
  • Previous administrative experience
  • 3 years administrative experience or business college training preferred, human services experience helpful


  • Full-time hours (37.5 hours/week) Hours: 6:00am - 2:00pm
  • Temporary 6-7 week position - October 28 th - December 15 th
