Managing distribution,transmission and substation projects for power utility. Candidate must haveexperience in electrical construction, specifically within the utility industry.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: project performance, schedule,quality and safety. Effective communication, time management and organization arerequired to work with construction management, our customer and projectstakeholders.

Major Job Elements (Project Management):

·Ensure completion of projectdeliverables (schedule, estimate, construction plan) according to customerrequirements.

·Accountable for projectperformance (scope, safety, quality, schedule, and cost).

·Act as the single pointof contact between Henkels & McCoy and the customer regarding projectactivities.

·Manage project costs,including development of recovery plans to stay within budget limits.

·Prepare project statusreports.

·Provide forecasts andcash flow for projects.

·Communicate projectperformance data to management and customers, as required.

·Assist in thedevelopment and provide updates for project schedules on multiple, simultaneous large projects

Major Job Elements (Estimating):

·Review contracts,proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. todetermine scope of work and required contents of the estimate. 

·Prepare estimates bycalculating the complete takeoff of the scope of work. 

·Coordinate totalestimating effort relevant to a particular bid / project. 

·Review all finalestimate packages with operations personnel prior to formal quotation, toinsure accuracy and completeness. 

·Participate in bidstrategy and presentation meetings as requested. 

·Support Corporateand Region personnel in preparation of estimates. Provide technicalsupport as necessary. 

·Maintain files ofworking documents as back-up for estimate figures. 

·Assist indeveloping and supporting the proposal response. Includes writing workplans, schedule development, other technicalresponse.

·Manage RFP processfor necessary suppliers and subcontractors. 

Qualifications:

·Leadershipand superior communication skills are essential.

·Bachelor of Science inEngineering or Construction Management preferred.

·10+ years of experiencemanaging projects and estimating in the construction industry. Utilityconstruction experience is required.

·Experience in any of thefollowing areas is a plus: contract management, CPM scheduling, or Earned ValueManagement.
