Heartland MicroPayments is in search of a National Sales Manager to join our team! This is a heavily client facing sales role that will focus on the sale of cashless payment systems across the country. Our home office for MicroPayments is located in Chattanooga, TN, however, you will rarely be on site outside of your first few weeks of training. The bulk of your client base in this role will focus on Unattended Payment applications (e.g. kiosks, laundry facilities, hotels & cruise ships, vending, corporate campuses, and correctional facilities). The expected territory for this National Sales manager is the North East, Midwest, and Western portion of the United States (coast to coast). Once fully trained the expectations of this role will require you to travel up to 70%-80% of the year, as you will be tasked with holding in person meetings across the territory to close deals. Some of our largest clients have over 35 office locations, so the ideal candidate will be comfortable maintaining relationships, and be able to increase revenue with existing clients.

Job Details:

The ideal candidate for this National Sales Manager will have experience with the following:

  • Demonstrate a consultative sales approach, with the ability to drive the process with the
    decision maker and close the sale
  • Have prior experience in long sales cycles involved with process and system changes
  • In this role you will be expected to develop and manage on-going customer relationships and work with all levels of stakeholders within the client's organization by building rapport and becoming a trusted advisor
  • Ability to communicate MicroPayments business value, of our enterprise level software
    solutions and services to the client base
  • Proven ability to drive revenue within your given territory and become the solution of choice with your existing accounts
  • Experience assisting your current accounts with renewals and contracts extensions
  • Diligent tracking of your sales forecast and ability to provide reporting to Micropayments


  • 3-5 years experience with enterprise level software sales demonstrating the ability to achieve
    sales goals and drive revenue using proven sales methods
  • Ability to develop and manage C-suite relationships and work with multiple client-based
  • Strong communication, negotiation and closing skills
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills
  • Effective time management and organized
  • Expert networking ability and business development with both MicroPayments staff, as well
    as, with the clients in the assigned territory
    Ability to collaborate with other territory managers across the Global Payments Campus
    Solutions team to assist in selling the complete suite of software, services and processing
  • Ability to travel to designated region up to 70-80%.
  • Due to travel schedule, the ideal candidate will live in or around a major airport hub in one of the previously described regions.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred
    Prior experience in service or card processing industry, preferred
  • Prior experience with, and understanding of, Unattended Payment systems and processes, preferred
