    Position:  Registered Nurse Critical Care Department: Intermediate Care Unit Shift: Full Time NightsNOTE: Sign On Bonus/Relocation Availaboe

    The Registered Nurse as a Staff Nurse in the Intermediate Care Unit performs the functions of assessing, planning, implementing andevaluating care for patients.MeetsStandards of Care and Standards of Practice.Supervises assigned personnel.Promotescollaboration with physicians and personnel of other departments.Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessaryto provide care appropriate to patients served.Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development over lifespan and possesses ability to assess data reflective of patient status andinterpret appropriate information needed to identify patient requirementsrelative to his/her age specific needs.Provides care needed as described in department policies andprocedures.Completes a competencyskills checklist within 3 months of employment.

    Qualifications

    GENERALQUALIFICATIONS:

    Education: Graduate from a school of nursing. Experience: License:

    Minimum one (1) year recent progressive care nursing experience preferred

    Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada required.

    Certification: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)ACLS within three (3) months of Hire/Transfer. Department-Specific Qualifications:  Progressive Care Unit:  
  • Proficiency in progressive care nursing procedures and skills, including cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year recent progressive care nursing experience required and/or successful completion of a progressive care course.
  • Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support for adults.
