Head of Care

Competitive Salary Full Time (40 hours per week)

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Care to join our team to support the Home Manager in the day to day running of the home, ensuring that our residents are provided with the highest possible standards of care. We are looking for someone who is reliable, able to demonstrate good leadership skills, and have a hands-on approach to care. They must be forward thinking, with a good knowledge of the care standards legislation, as well as dementia care, and be an effective communicator. They will assist the Home Manager in all aspects of the day to day running of the home, and ensuring that the residents are provided with the highest possible standards of care. This role is split between shift work on the floor and supernumerary time, based on the needs of the home, as well as being on-call every other week in line with their weekend to work.

The ideal candidate must be reliable, able to demonstrate good leadership qualities, have a hands-on approach to care, and be forward thinking with good knowledge of care standards legislation, including the Fundamental Standards. We are looking for someone who is emotionally intelligent, flexible, spontaneous and knows what matters most in life.

We are ideally looking for an experienced Head of Care withexperience in a similar size home. Diploma Level 3 is a minimum expectation buta Level 4 or 5 would be ideal. If a candidate does not hold a Level 5, they must be willing to undertake this as part of their role.

This role will require working every other weekend.
