Reports to: Director of Quality
Work with a team to ensure quality in all purchased and manufactured products for commercial and aerospace markets. Develop and maintain quality documentation accurately and orderly. Requires the ability to use a variety of measuring and testing devices that includes tolerances plus / minus .0001. Ability to measure product confidently and accurately per customer documentation or print/standards. Effectively communicate any quality/safety-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
Standard Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish priorities and effectively manage time to complete duties within required time frames.
Interpret blueprints, measure product to prints, samples or drawings.
Maintain Calibration system, schedule and calibrate equipment and update equivalent documentation.
Implement and update quality plans as necessary for mechanical inspections. Maintain quality files in a neat and orderly fashion.
Use precision measuring instruments, testing devices, and equipment to check and verify parts meet quality requirements according to the quality plan for the process performed.
Complete customer required documentation for first article inspections.
Keep Quality Director informed of any Quality related problems, concerns or questions.
Complete and maintain department records including pre-control charts, quality plan sign offs, calibration results, charts, graphs, blueprints and any other quality documents.
Comply with Company Policies and Procedures
Perform simple preventative maintenance on equipment.
Perform and interpret results of approved nondestructive testing methods.
Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.

Demonstrate proficiency in Commercial and Aerospace requirements. Categories include mathematics, applied mathematics, measuring, blue print reading, aerospace standards and fundamentals of manufacturing.
Must be able to proficiently interpret blueprints, basic knowledge of shop math and trigonometry strongly preferred
Knowledge of manufacturing procedures and capacities, products and production processes
Effective communication skills with peers, management, and employees
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Report generation, ERP experience a plus.
Self-motivated; takes initiative, works with a minimum of supervision
Effective problem solving skills
Team player; works cooperatively with others to solve problems and willingly helps others when assistance is needed
Associates degree and/or 5 10 years' experience preferred.
