Our Strategy professionals bring a tailoredapproach to help develop and operationalize strategies to scale and createspecific tactics that trigger transformation.With deep industry experience and extensive knowledge of organizationalfunctions and priorities, our teams align organization s people, processes andtechnology across functions, to optimize performance from strategy toexecution. Within the Strategy practiceyou might be involved in:Corporate StrategyCustomer & Growth StrategyOrganizational StrategyESSENTIAL DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES: Asa Manager, you will develop a broad base of industry and functional knowledgewhile managing significantly larger and more complex aspects of ourengagements. You will work closely with clients to dive deep into their issues,create strategic recommendations, develop persuasivepresentations, and implement change. You will collaborate with others to makecontributions to our firm as a leader, performance coach, and thought leader. Additional responsibilities may include:Perform engagement management responsibilities, includingperformance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials,quality review and client managementUtilize previous consulting and industry experience to helpcompanies set and achieve their long term goals.Perform accurate analysis and design effective solutions to avariety of client issuesManage business development activities, such as proposals, capture,account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadershipmaterialMeet or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on workMaintain a good working relationship with clients and workeffectively with client management and staff at all levels to gatherinformation and perform servicesWork closely with Grant Thornton managers and partners topromptly identify and resolve client problems or issuesAccess Grant Thornton s global network to bring the bestexperience to bearCommunicate (verbally and in writing) externally with clientsand internally with all levels of the organization tosuccessfully accomplish objectives portraying knowledge and confidenceManage, develop, train, coach and mentor staff onprojects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviewsMotivate others to perform at maximum efficiencywithout sacrificing quality of the services deliveredInterview campus and/or experienced candidatesMeet or exceed targeted billing hours(utilization)Other duties as assignedQualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting,Finance, Information Technology, MIS or related field. A Master s degree is a plus. MBA preferred.5+ years of related workexperience in a similar consulting practice or function servicingcross-industry clients at a national level.Will also consider other consulting experiences (including in-house)Must be able to performquantitative and qualitative research and analysis; must possess deepfamiliarity with primary and secondary research techniques.Must be able to producepersuasive, simple, and clear story lines, slides, and other output relevant toaudiences of all levels; must have a point of view and be able to express anddefend it; must be able to effectively organize and lead client meetings.Must be able to quicklyestablish credibility and trust with clients and colleagues.Must be able to design,manage, and execute an independent work plan with the input of your EngagementManager and team members.Must be intellectuallycurious and motivated to develop professionally, including being an activeparticipant in developing firm methodologies and/or professionalcertifications.80% travel requiredBENEFITS:GrantThornton LLP promotes a nationally recognized culture of health and offers anextensive array of benefits to meet individual lifestyles.
