With recent announcements and major investment in Public Sector markets, Google Cloud is poised to grow rapidly to serve public institutions and regulated industries across the globe.As part of the Global Industries team in Cloud Marketing and as a key member of the Public Sector global leadership team, you ll help define and develop the global integrated marketing plan for all Public Sector segments (Federal, State and Local, Education, etc.) across all regions and through all routes to market (direct, partners, channels). You will do so in close collaboration with Sales, Partners, Policy, Compliance and other cross-functional teams. Additionally, you ll lead marketing strategies for full funnel: to build awareness with PR and paid media, to generate demand through all digital and offline channel and to improve consideration among key buyer groups with high impact events. As Director of Global Marketing, Public Sector, you will work closely with Regional Marketing stakeholders to orchestrate region specific campaigns and programs that deliver on sales and marketing outcomes for each region. In this role, you will contribute strategic marketing experience, audience/customer-focus, and comfort communicating about cloud technology s positive impact. Additionally, you will lead stakeholder engagement and management across the Public Sector for marketing programs, campaigns and their execution.Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. Responsibilities Manage a global marketing plan for Cloud Public Sector, aligned to Public Sector business goals, and specifically to sales and partner growth metrics. Prioritize marketing investments in key Public Sector segments based on regional market opportunities.Drive agreed-upon sales pipeline development, progression and engagement goals through global regional events, sponsorships and programs.Develop a solutions-based approach to integrated marketing campaigns in the Public Sector. Engage with solution stakeholders across Sales, Partners, Product and Policy to deliver messaging, content and assets.Drive PR and customer programs to build awareness in Public Sector audiences in partnership with global brand, PR and Customer Reference teams.Build a data-driven marketing approach leveraging the best available Public Sector research and internal data for decisions. Put into practice an audience- and prospect-first mindset to shape the campaigns and content over time.Qualifications Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.15 years of relevant experience, with 10 years in the Public Sector.Preferred qualifications:Experience in leading all major B2B marketing program types across different channels (e.g., field events, digital campaigns. sponsorships, PR, etc.).Experience in building marketing programs for multiple Public Sector market segments (Federal, State, Local, Education, etc.). Experience with international public sector markets and challenges.Ability to strategically partner with leadership and stakeholders across Google Cloud.Ability to comfortably think through the impact of cloud technology on organizations.Excellent program management, organization and communication skills.
