Summary of Role\:

This Business Development executive carries responsibilities that drive the business growth of the Silicon Photonics platform solutions across the Computing and Wired Infrastructure customer base. The role is responsible for providing customer-driven input to market segment requirement documentation (MRD), such that the product requirements are distilled into the form of features that are mapped into the photonics foundry platform.

The role will also be expected to provide direction and leadership in developing a viable ecosystem of IP providers, post-fab processing and OSATs in order to enable an end-to-end solution for the Customer.

Key responsibilities include maintain differentiation of our photonics foundry platforms including post-fab features, alignment on TAM/SAM assumptions, and competitive analysis with other solution providers. He/She will work closely with the BU on business planning, business case development and approval, management of product line P&L, and go-to-market collateral development. The Business Development executive will work seamlessly with the WW Sales Team on customer engagements to secure Design WIns (DWins), DWIN and forecasting planning, design loss review, standard costing, and customer pipeline forecasting.

The role will report to the Vice President of the Photonics Business Line based out of Santa Clara headquarters.

Essential Responsibilities\:

Provides customer/market driven input to MRD document

Program planning and execution

Ongoing direct customer engagement for understanding and articulation of Silicon Photonics value proposition against competing solutions and competitor Silicon Photonics offerings

Monitor industry developments to properly position GF with highly differentiated solution offering

Market TAM/SAM analysis with Segment Marketing to accurately size the business financial value of current and future portfolio product offerings, and define, position and articulate associated product value proposition(s) for Silicon Photonics

Business case planning, development and analysis, including operational R&D and capital investments, asset utilization planning and analysis of needed investments, value proposition and cost elements (manufacturing standard costs, technology and IP royalty burdens, etc) to inform pricing committee and go-to-market approach for marketing collateral

Build and employ systems to process and manage customer engagement with marketing collateral, sales materials, etc.

Perform all activities in a safe ad responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs


Required Qualifications\:

Master's Degree in Technical Discipline

At least 5 - 10 years working in silicon photonics product line

Subject matter expertise in silicon photonics, with some experience in design of advanced photonics chips as well as optical module architecture.

Demonstrated grasp of technical marketing fundamentals\: whole product, defensible market

Travel - 40% Domestic & International

Language Fluency- English (Written & Verbal)

Preferred Qualifications\:

Strong team player with positive attitude and proactive work ethic

Ability to identify opportunities and work independently with minimal supervision

Excellent verbal, writing and presentation skills. Comfortable presenting to executive audiences
