Inviting applications for the role of Associate or Senior Associate, US Immigration

Genpact and its entities have non-immigrant employee population in the US .

The role requires a domain expert in non-immigrant work visas and employment based immigration applications to provide support, guidance and handle enquiries from employees and other internal stakeholders. Ideal candidate would have experience in working with large organizations with non-immigrant employees in the US and exposure to end-to-end life cycle for a non-immigrant employee in the US.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Handling US Immigration related work on a day to day basis

  • Handle H-1B transfer applications for local hires and H-1B extensions for employees

  • Work closely with recruitment team and candidates through the H-1B transfer process

  • Initiate H-1B extensions and ensure timely filing of the applications

  • Support PERM filing process for employees

  • Data Maintenance ensure accurate and real time data is maintained for all transactions and records

  • Records maintenance maintain legal files and documents for employees on non-immigrant visas

  • Handle queries related to US immigration/ visas of employees.

  • Coordinate with law firm on cases and all US Immigration related matters

  • Communicate effectively with business manager and other stakeholders to manage expectations

  • Publish periodic dashboards with status and closures

  • Ensures that seamless operation by cooperating with the different supporting functions and teams such as HR, Finance.

  • Ensure adherence to SLA and TAT

  • The Essential Competencies:

  • Domain expertise on H / L visas and Employment based Green Card processing

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Experience in working with large team across Geographies

  • Excellent verbal communication skills

  • Attention to details and zeal to drive process/ application to closure

  • Good knowledge on XL for reports/ trackers maintenance.

  • Good knowledge on MS office

  • The Person

    Graduate with minimum 3-5 years of experience in Business Immigration domain .

    The candidate should possess the following experience & characteristics:

  • Strong domain knowledge on Business Immigration

  • Prior industry exposure will be preferred

  • Must possess strong customer service attitude

  • Ability to multi task

  • Must take ownership of the tasks assigned and take it to closure as per instructions and processes defined

  • Must be sensitive to compliance and SLAs

  • Exceptional written/verbal communication skills
