The Closure teams are seeking individuals with thefollowing experience:. Front and Rear Closures hardware experience. Hood, Fender, Liftgate and Decklid experience. Carbon Fiber Design and processing. Responsibilities include:. Generating and executing technical solutions forfront and rear closures to support new vehicle programs. Providing technical leadership for advancedcomponent or technology development. Performing complex design analysis andevaluating engineering designs. Working cross-functionally to implement costreduction, methods and product improvements, and to support prototype andproduction build activities. Balancing business imperatives, including butnot limited to cost, mass, complexity, and timing. Production design release of closures parts andsubsystems. Communicating information to and from internaland external customer organizations. Staying abreast of relevant new technology andcompetitive products. Ensure closure systems are meeting all safetyand compliance requirements both internal and external.. Required Skillsand Experience. Minimum of six years of Experience in ProductDevelopment. Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred). Preferred Skillsand Experience. Master?s Degree or other Advanced Degree. Familiarity with the engineering design ofclosures or equivalent experience. Familiarity with Design For Six Sigma process. Experience with DFMEA (Design Failure Mode andEffect Analysis) and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Knowledge of plastic, carbon fiber, SMC, andmetal materials, processes, and tooling.
