Logistics Operations Leader

Role Summary:Responsible for the creation and management of warehousing, consolidation and transportation for the Accessories portfolio in USCAN. Initiates improvements in logistics operation and facilitating strategic outlook that will better serve stakeholders. Drives Services variable and base cost productivity through projects and leadership across a given geography. The role leads and implements key projects that improve tools, process, productivity, and has daily oversight of carrier performance.

Essential Responsibilities:Key responsibilities include:

1. Develop logistics operational strategy and own incorporation of Accessories Portfolio into USCAN logistics processes.

2. Lead productivity projects across the Services organization in a given area.

3. Work with process owners to identify simplification and growth/savings opportunities for the services organization and implement-optimized solutions.

4. Develop profitability analysis and business cases, manages assigned projects, and is responsible for achieving the designated results (e.g., Operational Margin impacts within budget constraints).

5. Drive Variable Cost Productivity (VCP) with carriers and distribution centers as defined in the Service Operating plan, balancing service delivery with cost out opportunity.

6. Project control, coordination, testing, and documentation.

7. Set up and implement regular and ad hoc reports to track results or identify improvement opportunities.

8. Maintaining and developing relationships with current, new and potential service providers, manage carrier performance including on time delivery within the region.

9. Drive standardization of logistics processes/tools across the region, become Transportation Management Systems (TMS) super user.

10. Overcome road blocks to ensure delivery is made in line with internal and external customers' requirements. Resolve day-day escalations between carriers and field service team.

Qualifications/Requirements:1. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, or Engineering.

2. Successful experience with expense budget ownership in a field service organization or in a process improvement/productivity role.

3. Minimum 4 years of experience working in logistics, engineering, or supply chain management.

4. Strong analytical skills demonstrating ability to identify root causes of problems, generate and evaluate creative alternative solutions, and implement problem resolutions quickly and effectively with fact-based decisions.

5. Effective benefit-oriented presentation skills and robust influencing skills.

6. Experience interfacing with both internal and external customers in finding value added solutions to improvement opportunities.

Desired Characteristics:1. Solid proficiency in computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite products) and GE Services information systems and tools.

2. LEAN/Six Sigma experience.

3. Understanding of the Field Service Business, and Delivery processes, and Logistics.

4. Business acumen.

5. Robust interpersonal skills, with evidence of teamwork and collaboration.

6. Strong communication skills to synthesize complex issues and communicate into simple messages.

7. Entrepreneurial thinker, with a view on the broader picture.
