Anheuser-Busch is actively seeking a Belgian Beer Sales Manager position (Full Time Contract Position) to support Belgian Beer brands on behalf of Anheuser-Busch in New York, NY. Reporting to the Off-Premise Director, this position is responsible for overseeing the Off- Premise growth of Anheuser-Buschs (ABs) Belgian beers (Stella Artois, Hoegaarden & Leffe) within their territory. The Belgian Beer Sales Manager will manage the execution of Off- Premise programming in key accounts. A successful candidate has an:

The Sales Manager will be responsible for the largest and most influential Belgian beer Off- Premise accounts in the market, working to increase overall sales of these brands by increasing sales of client products, highly visible presence in designated retail stores, ensures product look and display is consistent with protocol, and products are properly priced.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for ensuring that ABs Belgian beers are top of mind for the entire Off- Premise sales force through routine communication. Also, building and maintaining long-term trusting relationships with store associates, location/region management, and client management

Experience Requirements:
  • Must reside or be able to work in New York, NY
  • Must be bilingual
  • Reliable means of transportation

  • Must be available to work full time with some evenings and weekends
  • Engaging, outgoing, approachable personality
  • Passion for meeting new people and evangelizing outstanding products
  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related industry
  • Minimum 1 year beverage industry, retail, retail operations, retail distribution, merchandising, sales, marketing and service organizations required
  • Previous account management experience desirable
  • Experience in engaging store management in sales and/or promotional events required
  • Ability to us proprietary systems that track sales, expenses, etc
  • Significant understanding of remote business tools such as smart phones, tablets, and/or laptop use, including trouble-shooting issues with connectivity
  • Proven Leadership Ability/Advanced Supervisory Skills/Demonstrated Coaching Skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Highly self-motivated and results oriented
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work both individually and in a team environment
  • Must have the flexibility to work all sales promotion dates/times/locations as assigned by client, wholesaler, or distributor

  • Oversee the Off- Premise growth of Belgian beer brands within identified wholesaler and accounts
  • Creates and maintains consistent store visit schedule and inputs into assigned system as assigned
  • In-store samplings and engravings to support retailers
  • Weekend activations within the accounts to gain consumer awareness
  • Promote and build brand awareness of the Belgian Beers
  • Provides routine market intelligence (feedback) on current market conditions and/or opportunities that may affect sales or category share of product
  • Collects and reports information on competitive product and service offerings to management
  • Ensures product look and display is consistent with protocol, plan-o-gram compliance, overall appearance and above presentation standards of competitive products
  • Ensures product is properly priced and POP is compliant
  • Assists in identifying growth opportunities for client sales and marketing initiatives
  • Effectively positions presence in each market and chain/store to drive in-store sales of client products
  • Assists wholesaler representative with the selling-in of trade solutions, sampling activations, and POC placement
  • Forges synergy by maintaining effective business relationships at all levels with a team-based culture of inclusion
  • Develop and sustain great relationships with key accounts and staff
  • Communicate and monitor results with wholesaler and AB Corporate team
  • Monitor event execution while ensuring all key brand KPIs are achieved
  • Represent the company and its products to customers in a positive manner
  • Maintain a positive working partnership with local Wholesaler
  • Submit program deliverables accurately and on time each week
  • Knowledge of local alcoholic beverage laws
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Manage assigned account activities through maintaining regular call frequency, Draught and Key Account Communications, Sales and Distribution Goals, and Account Level Objective Accountability
