Global Climate Electrical Component Engineer Location: Dearborn, Michigan US Job Number 36805BR Dearborn, Michigan US ResponsibilitiesLead core engineering development of evaporator and blower assembly electrical components and climate control system electrical sensorsAuthor Engineering specifications for electro mechanical components for all Ford and Lincoln global programsLead in creating sourcing quote package and technical assessment of suppliers including qualification of local suppliers for global supplier localization effortsLeading the implementation of new suppliers and technologies with efficient program management techniquesCreate, update and monitor modular catalog of parts for vehicle usagesCost management for high cost projects and technology implementation Support Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) with technical experts, Software reviews, NetCom diagnostics, EMC reviews and represent climate control component team in safety related activitiesIdentify, monitor and mitigate project risks during new supplier implementation Review and approve DV (Design Verification) and PV (Product Validation) plans and develop commodity business plansLead cross-functional product development team within Climate Control for hardware definition Manage communication to suppliers, programs and application test engineersCapture lessons learned and develop test plans, requirements and specificationsHands on troubleshooting component sub system and vehicle issuesDesign and coordinate hardware builds, data driven problem solvingTrack and provide ED&T (Engineering, Design and Testing) estimates for component and system developmentSupport resolution of manufacturing issuesBasic QualificationsMaster's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree5+ years of experience in Climate Systems and/or Components2+ years of experience with supporting Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA)Preferred Qualifications3+ years of experience Author Engineering specifications for electric (LV and HV) components, motors & sensors2+ years of experience with technical experts, Core Software reviews, NetCom diagnostics, EMC reviews and represent climate control component team safety related activitiesCore EBA Component DevelopmentElectrified Components DevelopmentHealth and Wellness Air Quality sensor DevelopmentDesign and Release experience and Core engineering Vehicle Launch Experience Project Management degree or knowledge in planning and executing projects, agile methodology and risk management Knowledge of Refrigerant System Components and Subsystem design, reliability, requirements and testingKnowledge of materials and manufacturing technologies related to climate control system componentsKnowledge of Teamcenter, TcVis Mockup and ability to move, align, modify and freeze components and assembliesDemonstrated ability to resolve complex issues and effectively communicate to managementDemonstrated ability to effectively represent the companyAbility to communicate clearly and express new ideas to all levels of management.Demonstrated delivery of resultsAbility to balance objectives and resolve conflictsDemonstrated ability to delegate effectively and follow-upKnowledge of Project, Excel, Word, and OutlookJoin our team as we create tomorrow!
