This role provides technical support and/or oversight on behalf of Treasury customers pertaining to operations including, but not limited to, computer/network operations, technical support, systems analysis, local area network/wide area network/security, and defining technical solutions to customer use cases. The person in this role needs to drive business value through the delivery of complex technical data management solutions.
This leadership role is responsible for all application operations (AppOps) for the Test Data Management (TDM) enterprise service line for the US Treasury. This role is responsible for strategy, program management, and operational implementation on all aspects of the TDM infrastructure and is the primary interface with TWAI and other areas of National IT for the service line. Additionally, this role will be a primary technical interface to all 31 Treasury business programs, across 4 Core Federal Reserve Banks that the TDM service supports including existing customers and new customer onboarding.
Key Activities: Provides management and oversight on all TDM application operations in coordination with other technology partners and organizations. As such, provides program management across the TDM customer base around ongoing performance, issue resolution, and coordination/scheduling of platform upgrades or changes. Servers as a primary contact with the TDM technology vendor, Informatica, on their software patch and release schedule. Coordinates major patches and upgrades, major installations; updates, maintains, and monitors the operation of complex automated systems and applications including, but not limited to, server back-up support, change/problem management, database management, and/or asset management. Utilizes available tools to create and report various metrics and relevant project and/or service level information. Ensures processes and procedures are well documented. May provide lead oversight for technical support staff and/or function. Participates in and may lead complex office, District, or System projects. Utilizes available tools to monitor status of network and application are functioning properly. Performs troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose unique complex problems. Develop, evolve and deliver key performance measures/reporting to teams and stakeholders to convey applications operations health and status.
Qualifications: Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and/or work related experience. Bachelor?s degree from a four-year college or university preferred. Server Operating System Administration, Engineer certification, or completion of classes toward applicable certifications preferred. At least three years of experience with network administration and user support. Strong multi-tasking, customer service, and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to end-users. Demonstrate strong proficiency using multiple hardware/software platforms and/or significant expertise in a particular technology. Demonstrated leadership aptitude and skills preferred. At some point, may require frequent weekend or evening hours and being on call to provide after business hours support. 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with the Remedy application, software quality assurance testing process, SDLC processes across various technical architectures, Informatica Power Center knowledge, JIRA.
