The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor- Welder Repair is responsible for directing, coaching, and leading all resistance welding activities within the assembly area. This position will supervise Weld Repairmen (electrical skilled trades), Pipefitters, Welders, and Die-makers. Support and manage through others, on production activities, quality requirements, professional and preventative maintenance, continuous improvement measures, and World Class Manufacturing initiatives. Assist in team building, planning, prioritizing work, and root cause analysis to solve problems. Actively drive the teams lean manufacturing processes.
Journeyman status and/or Bachelors degree in related technical field
Minimum of 3 years experience in supervision within a manufacturing environment
Ability to work any shift and work overtime as required
Microsoft Office skills
Bachelors degree in technical/engineering field
Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing
Experience leading maintenance teams in a union environment
Green Belt/Red X/Six Sigma training
Experience with: controls, robotics, drives and system level communication systems, sealing systems, glass cell systems, various conveyance systems, welding all types, paint process and associated systems, vision systems and sensors use and application.
Familiar with World Class Manufacturing pillar methodology and implementation
Good working knowledge of Google Suite software programs
