Director Sales
Reports To:
VP of Sales
Position Summary
Manages sales activities of organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Direct reports: Corporate Account Managers and support personnel
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Directs staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.
Coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas and goals, and advises dealers, distributors and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques.
Assigns sales territory to sales personnel.
Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and to assist dealers in promoting sales.
Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, prices schedules and discount rates. Develops sales campaigns to accommodate goals of Exterran.
Directs product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line.
Represents Exterran at trade association meetings to promote product.
Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units.
Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
Assist other departments within the organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume and potential sales.
Formulates sales strategies to maximize profitability and winning chances
Monitors competitors activities, strategies and selling techniques in the region
Required Education
Bachelors Degree
Preferred Education
Bachelors Degree in Engineering field
Required Experience & Skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Excellent negotiation skills
Proficient using complete Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
SalesForce
Ten years experience in technical sales in the region
Leadership Skills
Preferred Experience & Skills
Experience selling to NOCs, IOCs and EPCs
Experience in high value project sales for capital equipment and services.
Experience in selling surface production facilities and services
Experience in implementing solution selling
Results Selling strategies
