Everyday Health Group s Consumer division is seeking a dynamic Director of Business Development to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating and nurturing key audience- and revenue-driving partnerships that broaden the reach of Everyday Health and Castle Connolly, as well as identifying and executing on strategic M&A prospects in the digital health and media space. This position reports into the VP, Business Development and has significant exposure to Everyday Health Group and J2 Global executive leadership.

In this role, you will:

Identify and develop strategic business development opportunities with the primary goals of diversifying revenue and audience for Everyday Health and Castle Connolly:
Research and maintain a deep understanding of the market landscape, including potential partners and acquisition targets
Perform comprehensive assessments, including financial modeling, to evaluate and prioritize new opportunities
Internally champion opportunities that present the most benefit to the business
Initiate and negotiate deals
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation, including proactively communicating with internal and external stakeholders
Continue to support key partnerships post-close, often as a key point of contact
Demonstrate leadership in driving new business initiatives and partnerships that result in tangible growth
Identify, perform due diligence and support the execution of strategic acquisitions in partnership with the J2 corporate development team
Support leadership in managing post-transaction transitions and integrations
Be a strategic thought-partner to the Everyday Health Group and Consumer leadership teams

The ideal candidate will have:

7+ years of digital media experience, with at least two years experience in a BD or partnerships role
A solid track record of negotiating and executing contracts with a broad range of partners
A passion and curiosity for the digital health and media landscapes, with a keen ability to filter the noise and hone in on opportunities will drive real growth
A clear, effective and empathetic communication style
Partner-facing experience
The ability to prioritize projects and stay focused amidst the constantly evolving media and tech landscape
The ability to distill big picture, strategic thinking while not losing track of critical details
A self-starting personality that is driven by measureable results and action
An energetic and motivating presence, with the desire to educate and provide ongoing insight and ideas to the various teams involved in executing on key partnerships
Experience in financial modeling and PowerPoint
MBA (preferred)
