The Director of Inside Sales will lead a Inside Sales and Customer Service team focused on expanding value between our products and services to our North American customer base. The Director of Sales will need to be able to manage existing books of business in inside and outside sales capacities, while providing support with building new account development and relationships. The Director of Sales will also provide mentoring, coaching and development opportunities for the Inside Sales team and Customer Service groups.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS AND SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Bring a successful track record at a leadership level supporting an Inside Sales & Customer Service teams (ideally 7+employees)
Lead the development of EFG's company's sales strategy
Drive, manage and execute the business and revenue of the Inside Sales & Customer Service teams
Recruit, coach, and develop team members and managers both personally and professionally, collaborating with Human Resources and the Vice President of Sales
Analyze regional market dynamics in an effort to maximize existing successes and to create new sales growth opportunities
Foster a positive and successful team environment, in alignment with our Core Values
Educate team on industry standards including competitive products, regulations, trends, customer needs, and pricing
Prepare forecasts, territory management, and growth plans
Review orders and ascertain their validity to quoted prices and delivery requirements
Manage and contribute to inquiry analysis and quotation
Expediate orders when needed to meet customer requirements
Ensure all customer service requests are properly logged in the EFT Master Inquiry Tracker
Develop shipping strategies based on customer needs
Establish and report on metrics to measure team performance; correct deficiencies where necessary
Serve as contact for large key customers and leads sales actions to close large deals when necessary
Ensure that the sales plan is aligned with and supports the corporate revenue goals
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
5+ years of Inside Sales & Customer Service leadership experience
Demonstrated ability to build, scale and manage mid-size Inside Sales & Customer Service teams
Proven track record of successful attainment of quota/revenue targets
Extensive knowledge of Sales & Customer Service methodologies and ERP systems
The ability to build, lead and motivate Inside Sales & Customer Service reps from diverse backgrounds
A data-driven hunter, with a passion for prospecting and sales best practices
Track record of overachievement in customer acquisition, and the ability to drive high levels of outbound prospecting activity
Self-motivated, culturally aware team player with a can-do attitude
The candidate must be a strong coach & leader
Excellent presentation capabilities
Keen ability to develop strong business relationships with mid to executive level decision-makers
Exceptional analytics, project management skills, writing, and organizational skills
Ability to manage and prioritize many customers and deadlines concurrently, while also managing internal and external expectations for the workload.
Must be extremely proficient with MS office suites and experience with Epicor is preferred
4-year college degree or equivalent experience
