Position Description

Einstein Medical Center Montgomery is a medical destination providing many new healthcare services and resources previously unavailable in the area including advanced medical and surgical care, diagnostic testing services, a neonatal intensive care unit, and 24 hour emergency care. Located on 87 acres along Germantown Pike in East Norriton, PA, Einstein Medical Center Montgomery brings the exceptional experience of Einstein Healthcare Network to residents of central Montgomery County. Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Provide general information to patients, visitors, telephone callers and hospital staff at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery
  • Provide customer service in a friendly, calm, professional manner
  • Works to ensure that patients and visitors have a pleasant experience during their stay
  • Project an approachable and professional image
  • Maintain a general understanding of hospital events
  • Provide information about convenience services to patients and visitors. These services may include but are not limited to: gift wrapping, postage/shipping, photocopying, coordinating purchases from the gift shop, ordering flowers and gifts, dining suggestions, local destination information.
  • Escorts patients and visitors
  • Assists in way finding
  • This position requires providing service to the following age population: Pediatrics to Geriatrics, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

  • If you possess the following, please apply:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Ability to interact and communicate clearly with patients, visitors, staff and physicians required
  • Two years of customer service experience required. Prior hospital or hotel experience preferred
  • Ability to work and rotate all shifts as needed
  • Ability to organize work, handle multiple projects/priorities and be creative in problem solving
  • Knowledge of the local area required
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel required
  • Aptitude for learning new PC applications required
  • Physical Demand Analysis:
  • Physical Requirements: Alternating activity that includes sitting and walking.
  • Visual Requirements: Alternating activity which includes reading handwritten and computer generated information.
  • Hearing Requirements: Alternating activity that includes receiving verbal and telephonic information.
  • Working Conditions: Alternating activity with all levels of hospital staff as well as patients and visitors. Can be stressful and fast paced. Ability to handle a high stress environment.
