The Business Development Director Senior - FMS initiates and implements the research and analysis of business opportunities, consistent with organization?s long range and strategic plans.? Leads strategy, development and finalization of FMS cases with existing and potential US and foreign customers.

Responsible for building company presence as a global provider and effectively leading the marketing of core capabilities to achieve and/or exceed the business plan and objectives.
Serve as focal point for future domestic and international customers by representing the company?s business development growth within the market.
Develop and finalize FMS cases with US and foreign customers.? Track funding, conduct requirements assessments, and develop scopes of work and proposals; source vendors.
Establish relationships with and lead purposeful engagements with current and potential customers.
Assess future growth opportunities aligned with the strategic growth direction.? Provide recommendations on how to support customers in the targeted markets
Work across multiple functions and business areas and will lead the development and presentation of growth strategies and opportunities, both international and domestic.
Lead the market assessments, develop new opportunities, advocate for new business resources, and coordinate win efforts.? Participate on opportunity specific win strategy reviews / step reviews.
Develop and conduct professional briefings to US officials, foreign government dignitaries, and company leadership.
Perform other qualified duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
Demonstrated expertise in the strategy, development and finalization of FMS cases with US and foreign customers in all elements leading to successful FMS awards to the company.
Demonstrated networking capabilities among various communities, e.g. acquisition officials/leads in the Department of Defense and other government agencies or foreign governments for identifying and developing potential business opportunities.
Must be knowledgeable of DoD and US Government structure and agency acquisition procedures and policies for identifying and developing potential business opportunities.
Familiarity with international marketing techniques.
Demonstrated knowledge of the competitive landscape.
Complete understanding of business development that includes contract cost and pricing principles that translates efforts in achievements especially in acquiring new and follow-on business. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.
Ability to integrate regulatory, customer, political and market information into effective business strategies and plans.
Strong interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy, and flexibility to work effectively with senior managers, employees, and the general public.
Strong leadership skills with an ability to coach, lead, motivate and influence others to support corporate goals and objectives.
Ability to obtain and maintain US passport and a security clearance.
Experience & Education?
Bachelor?s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics or International Affairs?
Master?s degree in Business Administration is desirable
Proven record of successfully growing a business with expanded customers and markets domestically and/or internationally
Fifteen (15) plus years in business development, program management or strategic planning.
Six (6) plus years of experience developing assigned business
Experience building and managing customer relationships with assigned customers to seek out and identify new business opportunities.
