Proactive accountant skilled in managing multiplepriorities while performing daily and monthly accounting activities to generatetimely, reliable and accurate financial information for DuPont CleanTechnologies.
Retrievesand organizes data into required formats to provide a basis for comparison andevaluation.
Buildand own analytical models that utilize both financial and non-financial data toassist in forecasting operating results.
Supportsenior staff in varied areas of financial operations and analysis including:monthly management reporting, forecast analysis, commissions and annualbudgeting for assigned areas
Assistmaintenance of fixed assets records, including proper classification to ensureaccurate depreciation expense.
Supportmonthly, quarterly and yearly closing cycles.
Collaborationwith business to ensure inventory records reflect accurate units/costs.Includes investigation of discrepancies and physical inventory counts.
Reconciliationof daily vendor invoice processing.
Performaccounts payable process for local company.
Maintainaccurate vendor information, including banking and 1099.
Facilitatecash flow expectations by ensuring timely client billings.
Assistin preparation of monthly sales and use tax records for submission to corporatetax department.
Analyzeand prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, includingappropriate support of balances.
Supportinternal and external audit engagements.
Identifyand implement process improvements.
Performother duties and projects as assigned.
Bachelor’sdegree in Accounting/Finance with 2+ years accounting experience
Understandingof Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Intermediateto advanced Excel skills
Highattention to detail and sensitive to deadlines
ERPsoftware experience (Epicor preferred)
Abilityto work with minimal supervision
Mustpossess excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills, and becomfortable interacting with executive-level management
Maturity,professionalism and high level of discretion are required
Minimaltravel may be required
