Strong understanding of telecommunication and wireless broadband systems

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years' of telecommunications or electric utility experience.
Our client is deploying a wireless communication platform across the entire service territory. Installing and/or retrofitting 8,000 field assets with 4G LTE wireless routers. The duration of the project is anticipated to be period of 36 months based on business needs at the present time following which you will separate from the Company. It is important for you to understand that this period may be shortened based on business needs in the future at which point you will separate from the Company.
Project Engineer responsibility is to facilitate the deployment of communication hardware in electric distribution automation assets across Client's electric distribution services territory. Scheduling of field construction related to the utility's 4G LTE wireless communication infrastructure build-out. Coordinate directly with Clients personnel and oversee execution of project plan and monitor project progress. Report project status and ensuring on-time completion of project milestones. Maintain progress logs and prepares progress updates. Evaluate and document engineering and construction standards. Ensure the accurate, timely, and efficient day to day management, monitoring and support of solution deployment processes. Evaluate and respond to issues, findings, open items and requests originating internally and externally from the organization. Process system data and perform daily data and system QA. Participation in all necessary Agile (Scrum or Kanban) ceremonies and maintenance of various Agile artifacts such as user stories and product backlogs. Travel to various sites throughout Clients electric service territory will be required.
