Power & Utilities Systems Integration Senior Manager Are you a Systems Engineering professional experienced with clients in Power & Utilities? Work you'll do As a Senior Manager, you will lead and deliver large, complex client engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business and technology solutions for large companies. Senior Manager level responsibilities include: providing service excellence by identifying key client business issues, determining client needs by supplementing the standard assessment techniques and tools with innovative approaches, evaluating and validating analysis and developing recommendations for the client in the context of the overall engagement. You will be expected to implement and oversee the quality of deliverables and effectively manage the team and day-to-day relationships to ensure exceptional performance. Senior Managers participate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities. You will have the opportunity to lead small engagements or components of large, complex engagements. Additional responsibilities will include: • Process efficiency & streamlining • Operating model redesign & enhancements • Performance benchmarking • Enterprise cost management • Strategic & enterprise regulatory management • Profitability and productivity analysis • Customer relationship management Qualifications Required: • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering or related field • 8 years of relevant consulting or industry experience with real time systems in Power & Utilities including ADMS, OMS, DMS, D-SCADA, and/or EMS • 6 years of managing large System Integration engagement as Development Lead • 6 years of Power & Utilities Industry experience • Ability to travel 80-100% of the time (Monday - Thursday/Friday) • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. Preferred: • Solid technology solution development experience • Strong technical knowledge of ADMS, OMS, DMS, D-SCADA, and/or EMS solution • Extensive experience designing and developing enterprise grade software • Experience with source control management systems and continuous integration/deployment environments • Experience with automated testing • Experience with debugging, performance profiling and optimization • Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques and theories • Internally motivated, able to work proficiently both independently and in a team environment • Strong communication skills with both internal team members and external • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering or related field • Ability to travel 80-100% of the time (Monday - Thursday/Friday) Role Description: • Lead overall solution development delivery and quality • Collaborate with client counterpart to gain buy in for the success solution delivery • Manage development effort scope, schedule, budget, resources, governance, reporting, risks, and issues • Experienced with Onshore/Offshore delivery model • Mobilize, coordinate, and manage the performance of development teams • Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery. • Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship. • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits. • Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain web- and desktop-based business applications. • Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans. • Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software. • Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards. • Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code. • Package and support deployment of releases. • Develop, refine, and tune integrations between applications. • Analyze and resolve technical and application problems. • Assess opportunities for complex design challenges and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties. • Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget.
