Duties

Successful candidates are required to teach both lecture (theory) and lab (practical applications) classes in the following:

  • Theory of Electricity
  • DC Circuits Analysis
  • Residential Wiring
  • Commercial Wiring
  • National Electrical Code
  • Electrical Troubleshooting
  • Solar PV Theory and Installation
  • Minimum Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will: -

  • have a minimum of five (5) years of on-the-job experience as master electrician or electrical technician Required
  • have prior formal teaching experience at the secondary and/or post-secondary level Preferred
  • have high school diploma, technical/trade school and/or approved apprenticeship certificate Required Associate Degree Preferred
  • high school diploma, technical/trade school and/or approved apprenticeship certificate Required

  • be able to demonstrate competencies in installing, maintaining, or repairing electrical wiring, equipment and lighting systems troubleshooting electrical problems following National Electric Code performing a variety of commercial electrical installation, repair, upgrade, retrofit, analysis, specialty installation and maintenance operations
