Job Description As a CVS Automated Pharmacy Lead Automation Maintenance Mechanic you will lead a team of multi-skilled maintenance mechanics while working with engineers and other technical support personnel to maintain equipment in a large volume advanced technology pharmaceutical dispensing facility to ensure equipment availability, efficiency and reliability. You will maintain, repair and enhance equipment to meet production goals as well as quality expectations. In this position you will work with equipment such as but not limited to ABB Robots, Allen Bradley PLCs, Bechoff PLCs, Bechoff EtherCat systems, Thermal Transfer Printers, Variable Frequency Drives, Servo Motors, Servo Controllers, Various Barcode Scanners, Vision Inspection Systems, Conveyor Systems and Custom Medication Dispensing Equipment. In this position, you will also provide a leadership role in mentoring, training and developing less experienced maintenance team members. Your efforts will affect the lives of thousands of patients who rely on the critical medications that are dispensed by this facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing a high level of maintenance support for all equipment in the Automated Pharmacy process. This position ensures equipment is well maintained and available during planned production time. This requires providing on time PM completion, equipment repairs and constant monitoring during production to identify and resolve issues before they affect production. This position provides a high level of troubleshooting ability to repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. This position utilizes company specifications, SOPs and GMPs governing the operation of the Automated Pharmacy process. This position also drives safety in the work place and contributes to safety improvements. The successful candidate will drive innovation and continuous improvement, must be able to work independently, in teams and closely with operations, engineering, quality and other technical support groups to resolve issues. This position will support Automation Maintenance Supervision and Automation Maintenance Management with scheduling and timely completion of preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance. The successful candidate will model professional workplace conduct and adherence to company policies such as Code of Conduct, attendance, punctuality, efficient and productive work habits, and good personal hygiene. It is customary to provide service on an emergency basis, including overtime, weekends and during facility shutdowns. Out of town travel may be required to attend seminars, visit equipment vendors or other CVS facilities. At times, this position may provide support to facilities maintenance for building systems to include general maintenance, mechanical systems, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc. We are seeking someone who is interested in the below responsibilites: Strong leadership and teamwork skills to ensure team performance objectives are achieved and expectations are met Strong consideration for and focus on safety in the workplace Strong project management skills with ability to multi-task, prioritize, assign tasks, allocate resources Strong risk assessment skills including ability to understand a process and determine how a change can affect that process Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to develop and implement permanent solutions Excellent written and verbal communication skills Desire to broaden knowledge and improve skill level is imperative SHIFT: 3rd Monday- Thursday 10PM - 6:30AM Friday 12AM - 8:30AM Required Qualifications 5+ years working in a Lead role with demonstrated competency to train maintenance team members 5+ years following company policies, specifications and SOPs Experience contributing to work instruction, procedure and PM development 7+ years troubleshooting, installing and testing experience (Barcode Scanning Systems, Vision Inspection Systems and Industrial Ethernets and/or EtherCat) 5+ years utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel 5+ years utilizing CMMS Highly organized and familiar with 5S Familiar with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Familiar with 5 Why and/or other Root Cause Analysis tools 10+ years utilizing LOTO procedures 10+ years utilizing electrical, mechanical and pneumatic schematics, drawings, reference documentation and manuals to establish facts and draw valid conclusions 10+ years troubleshooting automated equipment controlled by PLCs. Must have a strong understanding of PLCs and how to troubleshoot by testing I/Os externally 10+ years combined experience troubleshooting and maintaining: -Mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems (pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyor systems, vacuum pumps, etc.) -Single phase and three phase AC circuits up to and including 480VAC -Low voltage DC electrical circuits and testing various product sensing devices -Servo Motors and Controllers -Variable Frequency Drives -Industrial Robots -Thermal Transfer Printing SHIFT: 3rd Monday- Thursday 10PM - 6:30AM Friday 12AM - 8:30AM Preferred Qualifications 5+ years working in a regulated environment (ISO 9000, ISO 13485, FDA, Pharmaceutical or Medical Device) 2+ years working in a GMP environment following GDPs 10+ years troubleshooting equipment and PLC problems by accessing PLCs and reviewing ladder logic to determine machine state Education High school diploma or GED equivalent required, technical certifications a plus Associates degree in a technical discipline or above preferred 10+ years automated manufacturing maintenance experience required OR 7+ years automated manufacturing maintenance experience with Associates degree Business Overview Its a new day in health care.
