Coors Distributing Company (CDC) is one of the nation’s leading beer distributors based out of Denver, CO. We are the critical link between our brewery suppliers that produce the beer and the retail outlets where they are sold, as well as the restaurants and bars where they are consumed. We were founded in 1971 and became a MillerCoors LLC in 2008 as part of the joint venture between Miller Brewing Company and Coors Brewing Company, and we remain the only company owned distributor for MillerCoors. Major brand acquisitions occurred in January of 2010 making Coors Distributing Company one of the top 25 largest beer distributors in the country with over 30 suppliers, roughly 14 million cases per year, and nearly 400 employees.

The Headlines:

In the role of Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) working in Denver, CO you will be part of the Human Resources team. This person will be responsible for delivering HR strategies and services to effectively build the organizational capacity required to achieve business goals and imperatives. The HRBP will provide thought leadership in the development of organizational capability through effective change management, talent management, and performance management.

This position reports to Human Resources Director and provides support to managers and employees throughout CDC.

The Responsibilities:

Serves as a generalist in the areas of employee/labor relations, benefit/retirement/total rewards, talent management, performance management, organizational effectiveness and learning & development to drive and implement HR initiatives and innovative solutions in support of the business strategy

Leads initiatives to foster positive employee relations, an engaged workforce, a positive culture and effective communication throughout the organization

Promotes a climate of inclusion through actions, results, and behaviors leading to a strong, diverse culture that drives business performance

Builds effective sustainable employee relationships; provides advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation

Interprets and administers company policies and provides support in compliance efforts related to labor and employment law

The Other Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field is required; Advanced degree preferred

Minimum 3 years of generalist experience in Human Resources, including employee/labor relations

Must be able to communicate with all levels of the organization in a professional and tactful manner on potentially difficult matters

Demonstrated experience in effectively influencing and leading a positive employee relations climate while maintaining a union-free philosophy and culture

Knowledge and demonstrated experience in the following aspects of HR management is required: employee engagement, employee/labor relations, talent/performance management

Understanding of local, state and federal laws/regulations related to the HR field

Position requires complete confidentiality; must have high integrity and be culturally sensitive and empathetic

Ability to develop and manage the execution of people related projects
