Technical Account Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop positive rapport with clients and vendors, representing Company with integrity.
  • Coordinate Strategic Technology Reviews (STRs) according to the prescribed meeting schedule.
  • Follow proven account management processes; conduct periodic client reviews.

Sales

  • Make appropriate recommendations for new and replacement technology.
  • Make recommendations relevant to clients business objectives.

Account Coordination

  • Create and manage sales opportunities.
  • Generate quotes and schedule regular follow-up conversations.
  • Maintain profitable relationships.
  • Attend training to learn and effectively recommend Company's technology solutions.
  • Assist Company team members as needed.

Proactive Engagement

  • Conduct periodic check in calls and visits.
  • Coordinate events and training activities.
  • Arrange client gifts when appropriate.
  • Monitor and coordinate service activities.
  • Solicit feedback from clients.
  • Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate time records.
  • Schedule meetings and maintain an accurate, visible calendar.
  • Enter activities and opportunities consistently in our database.
  • Store all client-related documents in appropriate, centrally-managed locations.
  • Assist in answering phones, taking appropriate notes, and updating service tickets.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Identify the correct technical solutions for sales opportunities.
  • Write and deliver proposals to clients.
  • Manage customer commitments, negotiate and close sales opportunities.
  • Demonstrate a level of success in the development of client relationships.
  • Be a client advocate.
  • High energy and results-based drive.
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills such as phone acumen, professional writing skills, and active listening.
  • Ability to remain calm during challenging conditions.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.

Credentials and Experience:

  • Associates Degree or a combination of education and experience.
