Compassionate Healthcare Nursing Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to care for a pediatric client in the Capitol Heights, Prince George's County Maryland area. We are looking for Nurses to fill (Mon.-Sun.) Day Shift of 7am-7pm = 12hrs. and Night Shift of 7pm-7am = 12hrs. We are looking to fill these positions immediately. The Pay for these positions is competitive and will be discussed upon accepting the assignment and meeting the qualifications listed below. Responsibilities

Must be able to work and operate a ventilator machine

Must have experience working with pediatric patients that have a tracheotomy including changing and cleaning

Assess the patient's physical needs and use your skills and techniques to care for the patient

Assess pain and implement appropriate pain management techniques

Develop, implement, and revise care plans that reflect patient's diagnosis and outlined standards of care

Complete documentation such as clinical flow sheets, doctor's orders, medication administration sheets and etc. during the shift

Provide all patient care in a manner that reflects respect for patient rights, dignity, values, cultural preferences, and expressed needs

Involve patient's family members and/or significant others in decisions regarding the care of the patient

Document patient history, symptoms, assessments, tests, and care according to guidelines

Review patient history, diagnostics, and lab data, and report any abnormalities to the RN Supervisor and Family Member/Caregiver

Educate patient and family on managing illnesses or diagnosis of the patient

Administer medicine and treatment to the patient during the shift

Qualifications

Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing preferred

Must possess a current, valid LPN or RN license within 1 year of license issuing date in the state of MD or have a current, valid license that is apart of the National Nurse Licensure Compact States if licensed from another state

Must possess Certification in CPR by either a CPR Card or Certificate

1 year of experience in a healthcare-related field preferred from date of the license issuing date

Must possess a current physical within 1 year

Must complete an MD background check through CJIS

Excellent communication skills

Demonstrates the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism during stressful times

Strong critical thinking skills
