The VP of Sales is responsible for driving the strategic and operational elements of the CommScope engagement with Comcast. S/he will lead a group of sales people in driving the Revenue and Profitability of CommScope at Comcast. This role reports to the SVP of Service Provider Sales - North America. The VP of Sales is responsible to create and lead CommScope in executing a strategic account plan, manage forecast process with each of the CommScope business units, preparing and presenting executive updates to the CommScope business leads and executive team. They will also be responsible for developing and maintaining executive level relationships within the account. As a manager of other sales and technical sales professionals, this person would also be required provide leadership and career develop guidance to employees within their organization. The VP of sales will utilize their engagement skills and ability to maintain executive relationships to drive cross-functional alignment with business units, operations and corporate functions within CommScope. The individual must be able to understand and articulate CommScope's strategy, value proposition, and solutions to Comcast. The candidate would preferably be based in Philadelphia or the surrounding area.
A Bachelor's degree is preferred with 15 years of experience in telecommunications sales leadership
Strong technical aptitude and understanding of data center architecture.
A minimum of 8 years of experience leading a customer facing sales or technical sales team
Complete grasp of Data Center capabilities and functionality including; consolidation, virtualization (systems, storage, applications and networking) and cloud design
Minimum 10 years' experience positioning solutions into the data center space
Strong technical leadership, with ability to understand customer network architectures and articulate to the customer how our solutions fit within those architectures as well to articulate the customers direction to internal stakeholders within CommScope
Ability to work under tight deadlines without supervision
Comfortable in presenting technology solutions to all levels ranging from customer engineers to C-level executives
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively
Strong understanding of CommScope's sales methodology
Proficient in working with a CRM
