The qualified candidate must be a high school graduate or equivalent.Training from a technical school specializing in quantity cooking is preferred. Good organizational and time management skills and excellent customer service and communication skills are required.Previous dietary experience is required.

This position is responsible to plan, cook and schedule food preparation in conjunction with the dietary supervisor and/or dietitian to ensure that food will be ready at specified times for hospital patients, employees and visitors.Additional responsibilities include instructing one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals of activities as necessary.Will perform other duties, as assigned.

Primarily 10:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., may cover other shifts as needed for coverage (i.e. 5:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.) including alternating week-ends and holidays, as scheduled
