Chippenham Hospital , a 466-bed acute care facility , is located on the Southside of Richmond, a short drive from the beautiful, outdoor Stony Point Fashion Park, offering an abundance of shops, restaurants, and even a dine-in movie theater. Responsibilities of the RN in PACU: Manages the nursing care of all post-op patients who enter the PACU in support of HCA ethical and compliance principles and values Works closely with the anesthesia department and assists in coordination of patient care Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting all aspects of patient care Delegates appropriate tasks to unlicensed personnel and provides required supervision Works closely with all health care providers to facilitate and coordinate efficient, effective, and quality healthcare Evaluates patient's signs and symptoms; and records and reports results Sets priorities and modifies patient care in response to changing conditions by utilizing problem solving skills and exhibiting good judgment Collaborates with physicians regarding patient progress towards the outcome attainment What Sets Us Apart: The Pacu has been a place I can finally call home. Qualifications EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED: Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required) BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred) Tuition Reimbursement Program ($5,250/calendar year) LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current Registered Nurse License in this state American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required) PALS and ACLS certification (required) EXPERIENCE : 1 year of experience as a RN with demonstrated competency in critical care or post anesthesia care (required) Our employees come first.
