Citizens' Asset-Backed Finance Group is seeking an experienced VP/Director to originate, structure and execute commitments to US-based credit/asset managers. The VP/Director's responsibilities will require client and counterparty marketing, credit diligence, legal review, credit memo production and communication of this work with internal portfolio management and credit partners.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
* Working with internal partners in Capital Markets to identify new business opportunities, develop and deliver client pitches * Conversant with leveraged loan asset managers, various fund structures, and methods of financing loan funds. * Capable of reading, analyzing, and negotiating complex securitization style credit agreements. * Analyze client portfolio strategies, risks and client priorities in order to develop appropriate loan agreement structure, the implied ratings profile and commensurate pricing. * Work with ABF colleagues to derive ratings using established securitization ratings methodologies * Work with internal portfolio management team, credit team, external legal review to produce credit write-ups for new commitments and annual reviews. * Capable of distilling complex issues succinctly for decision makers * Lead deal teams in organizing legal review with external counsel, internal modelling capabilities, diligence coordination and then communicating effectively with internal partners on findings.

* Ability to function as part of a flat organization, manage several transactions at once and work effectively as an individual and as part of multiple teams * Ability to synthesize complicated transaction details into critical decision points with professional view/recommendation how to address areas of concern * Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to express ideas in a persuasive, organized, and articulate manner * Ability to organize deal teams effectively, communicating clear goals of underwriting process both internally as well as to client. * Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis with a solid understanding of fund managers, loan portfolios, securitization style financial modeling and ability to broadly understand the performance and trends of the underlying leveraged loans. * High degree of maturity and integrity with a positive and hardworking attitude * Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
Background qualifications include:
* Minimum of 5 years in either an established CLO banking team or as part of team underwriting commitments to CLO warehouses or stand-alone commitments to private credit funds. * Full command of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint along with related financial services software including S&P CapitalIQ, S&P Leveraged Commentary, Advantage Data, Bloomberg, Thomson One, Thomson Loan Pricing Connector, FactSet, etc * FINRA Series 79 (or 7) and Series 63 and/or willingness to obtain licenses in a short timeframe
