Job Summary:

AsHana continues to rapidly expand & grow, we are looking to hire a FinanceDirector to expand our finance team who will be responsible for developing and managing ourannual budget preparation, quarterly forecasting, strategic planning,management and KPI reporting, and other special projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the planning and execution ofthe budgeting process, forecasting process, strategic planning process,management reporting and KPI reporting. Establishes overall departmentalpriorities and ensures that all deadlines are met.
  • Assists Leadership Team with settingdirection for the business. Reviews input from staff and business leaders toassist with strategic planning processes. Provides commentary and guidance tofinance management and business leaders with respect to strategic initiatives.
  • Works closely with Operations to supportother initiatives in the business which could include but is not limitedto: pricing, global reporting, strategicanalytics with a focus on improving margins and identifying opportunities inthe business for growth.
  • Ensures complete knowledge of monthlyresults. Assists in presentation ofresults to senior finance management and business leaders.
  • Manages special projects and preparespresentations for senior management.
  • Facilitates review and approval of capexprojects in accordance with the company approval guidelines and capital requestprocesses. Oversees capex forecastsagainst approved budgets for all units in Hana portfolio.
  • Assesses staffing levels and skill sets toevaluate department needs. Identifies and provides development opportunitiesfor staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Provides formal supervision to individualemployees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations forstaff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action andtermination. Effectively recommends samefor direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffinglevels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisalfor staff. Mentors and coaches teammembers to further develop competencies.Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with thecompany's values.

Education, Experience & Licensing:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-yearcollege or university in a business related field. Requires a minimum of fiveyears related experience.
  • MBA preferred, but not required (depending onexperience).
Communication Skills:

Excellent oraland written communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively withpeers, business people and management. Ability to comprehend, analyze, andinterpret the complex business documents. Ability to effectively interact withmanagement, employees, etc. and respond effectively to the sensitive issues.Ability to write reports and manuals using distinctive style. Ability tomotivate and work collaboratively with business partners, key employees, topmanagement, and client groups on various projects.

Requires in-depth knowledge of financial termsand principles. Reviews complex financial/business analysis and reportsprepared by subordinates. Ability to analyze complex business/financial dataand develop innovative solutions. Develops and implements financial policiesand procedures. Approves and oversees department budget. Broad, in-depthunderstanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), concepts.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability tosolve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complexsituations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills withproven experience in developing strategic solutions in a rapidly evolvingindustry. Ability to problem-solve, both independently and working as a team.Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a directimpact on the company.

Other Skills:

Strong computer skills, including specificknowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (expert level of Excel, Word, Outlook,PowerPoint, etc.). Broad experience with other software and financial systemsis desired (particularly Cognos Planning). Knowledge of real estate serviceindustry and terminology is helpful. Ability to handle and manage multipleprojects and work streams. Strong work ethic and adaptable.

Scope ofResponsibilities:

Decisions made with in-depth understandingand interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices toachieve general results. Responsible for setting department deadlines.
