Position Overview:
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about supporting at-risk students. The Executive Director for Texas serves as the supervisor for the programs, service delivery, and operations in the defined territory (Dallas and/or surrounding regions). This individual is responsible for client relations and satisfaction, service quality and overall business performance. The right leader must have a background in Special Education, as well as a willingness to become intimately familiar with Catapults research-based programs that support districts, teachers, students and parents/guardians. Our primary services include the management of special education schools and classrooms, as well as capacity-building programs for general education teachers and special education personnel through coaching and professional development.
Job Purpose:
The Executive Director is responsible for supporting Program Directors with the daily oversight and cross-functional operation of all programming activities, including: securing the internal and external resources needed to provide efficient and effective service to all stakeholders; providing leadership in improving organizational structure and processes on a local level, and in partnership with colleagues across a defined region; and, aligning instructional models and student engagement practices with SESIs framework for promoting positive academic, social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:
+ Establish professional rapport with, and promote high standards of performance for, all students and program personnel in ways which align with greater achievement and accountability for ensuring positive, therapeutic, and safe educational environments.
+ Establish clear standard operating procedures for the schools and programs in a specific region, and ensure it aligns with the organization and local stakeholders core values, philosophy, and operational objectives.
+ Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including relevant school board policies or requirements which relate to the development and operation of specialized day programming for students with disabilities.
+ Establish procedures for the evaluation and selection of specialized instructional materials and equipment in alignment with organizational requirements or initiatives related to increasing academic achievement or therapeutic outcomes, and the Educational Quality Initiative (EQI).
+ Work collaboratively with the Regional Leadership and broader community service agencies or systems of care to identify and address issues impacting students and families served, including: substance use, abuse, or dependency; child neglect or abuse; and significant physical, mental, or behavioral health challenges.
+ Ensure effective communication (verbal and written) across a defined region, with internal and external stakeholders, at multiple levels, including: students, families, program personnel, school site or district administration, and SESIs broader organizational/regional leadership.
+ Provide leadership, locally and regionally, in maintaining well-resourced and organized educational programs/environments which meet or exceed established standards for facility maintenance, cleanliness, health, specialized functions, and sensory appeal.
+ Establish and ensure defined procedures related to student safety, emergency preparedness, and natural disasters; maintain a routine schedule of drills to confirm program personnels competence in following established procedures at all times.
+ Prepare and maintain key stakeholder engagement and communications for a specific region, including but not limited to: required reports, presentations, trainings, and operational reviews.
+ Establish and maintain proper procedures for protecting (verbal and written) the confidentiality and privacy of matters related to students, families, program personnel, and routine operations in alignment with FERPA and/or HIPAAs guidelines; and, be a regional example of when and how critical information can be shared, with whom, and for what purpose.
+ Serve as the regional leader in the development and implementation of new or expanded operations, in alignment with stakeholders needs and the organizations goals.
+ Perform any duties that are within the scope of employment and certification/licensure, as assigned by the Regional or Organizational Leadership, in the execution of SESIs core mission and vision.

+ Candidate must possess a sense of urgency, understanding of the education environment, ability to work in cross-functional teams, flexibility, and team orientation.
+ Physical Environment and Working Conditions: Light lifting, walking, climbing stairs. Most programs are in school settings.
Education Requirements: Masters in Education, Special Education, Social or Behavioral Sciences, or a related field. State Certification/Licensure, or the ability to attain, in Special Education, Education, School Administration, or a Clinical/Therapeutic Discipline (BCBA, SLP-CCC, LPS, LCSW, etc.) highly preferred. Experience working with school districts also preferred. Prior management and budget experience is required. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and organizational skills. Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of management, as well as outside partners and other stakeholders.
