Additional information may be found at www\.carters\.com \. 50% Design Process & Communication + Support facilitation for all aspects of design: from initial concept to final development of product + Participate in all aspects of daily follow up with internal business partner, i\.e\. email communication and meetings + Learn the creative process as well as observing the design leaders in the day to day workings + Prepare and update InDesign linesheets accordingly and manage silhouette numbers + Assist with pre\-production art \(review prints, graphic scale & placements, validate color chips and line sheets/BOM with supervisor and own complete process for their portion of the line\) + Participate in fit process and update design sketches based on feedback during fittings + Train Interns on silhouette sketching in Illustrator and line sheet/BOM responsibilities + Build and update color swatch palettes as needed for the team + Regularly communicate progress with cross functional partners + Responsible for editing all product details throughout design review process that impact final execution of product commercialization 30% Product line Development + Sketch technical drawings in illustrator, communicate design intent, and update silo matrix accordingly, with direction from supervisor + Fill silhouettes with prints/art in Illustrator working line sheet, update print\-outs accordingly for presentation meetings + Independently design at least one program or a portion of a program with Supervisors mentorship 20% Creative Concept + Research and present design and creative concepts that demonstrate innovative, brand\-right creative \(silos, trim & details, color, print & graphic design direction to supervisor and peers\) + Prepare and request design and proto samples from Product Development & Sourcing team + Assemble creative and /or trend boards for formal internal or external presentations and set up creative PDF files ## Experience and Skills + Exhibit inquisitiveness, excellent communication and analytical skills as well as have basic knowledge of garment construction, silhouettes, color ways, sewing techniques, fabrication and trim + Possess strong attention to detail and good organizational skills + Strong time management and creative problem solving skills + Ability to work in a fast paced, creative, and team oriented environment + Ability to interpret supervisors direction + Strong sense of color and aesthetic ability to interpret creative trends for the carters brand + Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign + Working knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management tool preferred + Experience working in childrens clothing preferred + Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3\.0 \(3\.2 GPA or higher strongly preferred\) at time of graduation + Graduation date must fall in or after December 2019 + Must be able to start in the roll full\-time by June 2020 Carters is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer\.
