Sr. Specialist Developer-> > Consults with internal business groups to provide appropriate application software development services or technical support. Analyzes, defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks, controls, and outputs using BNY Mellon's standard development methodology. Works with internal business groups on implementation opportunities, challenges, and requirements of various applications. Analyzes information and provides recommendations to address and resolve business issues for a specific business group. Contributes to defining time tables and project plans. Analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost, time, and compatibility with hardware and other programs. Takes lead for establishing, implementing and monitoring 'best practices' for technical development methodologies and tools. Proposes innovative, creative technology solutions. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.Job Responsibilities :- Responsible for development, coding and testing using Java, Data Structures, Algorithms, Spring Framework,J2EE- Designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance- Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle Writing well designed, testable, efficient code- Involved in documentation work like preparing Low-Level Design Document, updated requirement specification document and Unit Test cases.- Creating tables, writing procedures and SQL, PL/SQL queries would be an added advantage.

Must-Have :- Should be strong in Java, J2EE, Spring, JMS, hibernate, etc.- Strong Hand-on development experience in Java, J2EE Technologies & Database Designs- Should have exposure to object-oriented design, Design Patterns and UML.- Experience in leading an engineering team through technical expertise- Proven expertise in building and improving Java based scalable and high-performance services.- Excellent in application design concepts like Design Patterns, Data Modeling and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture).- Proficient in Object-oriented programming in Java, J2EE, Spring MVC, Web Services, JUnit, SQL, PL/SQL, Maven, Spring.- Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases- Should have worked in a UNIX environment.- Strong verbal and written communication skills.- Excellent in analyzing system performance related issues.2. Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, 8-10 years of experience in software development required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
