Assigns diagnosis and procedure codes to Emergency Department, Ambulatory Surgery and/or Interventional Radiology accounts using ICD-10 and CPT coding classification systems in compliance with coding guidelines.
Performs accurate data entry by utilizing computerized abstracting system.
Meets production and quality standards for number of records coded and abstracted.
Adheres to established processes and procedures. Utilities coding resources.
Works independently with minimal supervision. Communicates timely and appropriately.
High School Diploma or GED
