Job Description

The primary responsibilities of this position will include assisting the Finance Coordinator, Finance Manager or Finance Controller which includes but is not limited to:

  • Assisting with Payroll, Account Receivable, Account Payable and Service Audits
  • Serve as a sub as need for the following duties: greeting staff and clients, maintaining a clean reception room, answering and directing phone calls, assisting in calling staff or clients to schedule appointments, working in collaboration with the Finance Director and other clerk duties as needed, etc
  • Communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and via telephone, with all levels of personnel and visitors and input and retrieve computerized data
  • Ability to appropriately interact with clients, visitors, funding sources and other BHW staff members
  • The Finance Assistant is a highly visible role in the organization and it is imperative that the incumbent be professional and punctual
  • The actual responsibilities may vary as BHW needs may require. This position is Full-time, Monday - Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and occasionally on the weekends. This position is hourly, non-exempt and you will be eligible for overtime

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills; ability to communicate effectively utilizing both written and verbal skills
  • Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and to small groups

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
  • Previous work experience with the Regional Center
  • Working experience in Accounts Receivable
